Rice Farms Tour in Mandaka Mnono and Mabogini

What does it take and how long does it take to have a plate of rice?

Come and get to know how rice is cultivated by local farmers in the lowland areas of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will walk through beautiful and scenic rice paddies of Mabogini Village. Our tour guide will explain to you all steps that it takes from farm preparation, planting to harvesting.

The tour ends at a local family where one will have a chance to taste various rice dishes such as Wali, Pilau and Vitumbua (rice burns). There is so much that can be learned from Tanzanian local rice farmers.
